Border Zone

"Border Zone" is a musical narrative in three coherent movements. They describe different scenes from a Dutch village near the German border: the first movement begins with a traditional relay race, which alternates with a second theme about the smugglers in the border area. In the second movement, a procession in the village is portrayed musically, in the third movement the lively border market and finally the festivities at Pentecost. Colourful and varied!
