Pride of the Forest

Pride of the Forest reflects the pride that is associated with the character of the people who live in the Fryske Wâlden (‘The Frisian Woods’), a region in the northeast of the Dutch province of Friesland. Generally speaking, the inhabitants are tough, stalwart, straightforward, tenacious, honest and most of all, proud. During the piece the typical landscape as well as all characteristics of the Frisian people are described in a fantastic and colourful way. A lovely piece for your contest or concert!
