Les Alizés

Composed at the request of one of the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force orchestras. The composer wanted to express the bravery of the military orchestra and at the same time the freshness of the wind on the sea. This piece was played again as an encore by the Orchestre d'Harmonie de la Garde Républicaine during its tour of Japan in October 2001 in Tokyo, and was chosen as one of "the Top 125 of the world" by "Bandworld Magazine" in the United States in 2001. In 2005, it was entered in the Taiwan Wind Band Competition.
