No Matter What - It's Jazz

"No Matter What - It's Jazz" is aimed at motivated players who play about as well and already have a solid knowledge of their instrument, i.e. who have about two years or more saxophone practice - at least if you want to play all pieces in their entirety. The themes, however, are simpler and therefore faster to play.

The volume contains duets in different styles with recording on the accompanying CD for two alto saxophones, two tenor saxophones and the instrumentation alto saxophone and tenor saxophone.

It does not matter whether two alto players, two tenor players (or clarinet players) or alto and tenor players come together, as this booklet actually makes all three combinations possible. It should be noted that the version for two alto saxophones and the version for alto and tenor sound the same. Only the version for two tenor saxophones sounds a pure fourth lower. The notes of the first voice are therefore always identical, while the second voice - by the way no easier to play than the first - was transposed appropriately in the alto tenor version.
