Symphony No.5 The Reformation

Composed for celebrations commemorating the Reformation and the Augsburg Confession. In this symphony Mendelssohn strove to formulate the idea of the Reformation in symphonic terms, conveying both the joy and suffering implicit inthe subject. A staple of the orchestral repertoire, the work is reprinted here in full score from the authoritative edition published by Breitkopf & Hartel of Leipzig.
