Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig - Schriften 11
Nepomuk David (1895-1977) lived and worked for a good decade from 1934 in Leipzig. Studies of his works from those years and their immediate chronological environment, especially the works for orchestra and choir, are the focus of this volume.
The contributions are augmented with a discussion of male choirs established in the 1930s, a historical study and a conversation about the relationship between David’s work and public activity.
