In response to widespread interest and customers’ requests the publishers have decided with this new edition to print the detailed critical commentary on these eleven Sonatas at the end of the volume, rather than as a separate publication. For all those who already own the volume without the critical commentary, this information is available as a free PDF download on the Wiener Urtext Edition website. At the same time we have taken the opportunity to check through the scores again in the light of the latest research, updating some details to bring you the very latest insights into Beethoven’s music.
