Osakan Jubilee

This work was composed in 2014 for the 15th anniversary of the Philharmonic Winds OSAKAN (Japan). Yoshihiro Kimura has been artistic director of the ensemble from the very beginning, Jan Van der Roost was the first guest conductor in 2013. In this impressive work, the composer looks back on Apollo, one of his most famous earlier works, and recalls Adolphe Sax, the Belgian inventor of the saxophone.
